Festival of the Imaginary

‘Oli's Imaginary Museum’ is above all an exhibition designed to be lively and open to all, punctuated by events, concerts, workshops, performances, conferences and open stages. One of the highlights of the Festival des Imaginaires will be an invitation to Fabian Ordoñez, the music-loving father who passed on his passion for music to his sons Florian and Olivio (Bigflo&Oli) from an early age. This concert is presented in partnership with Bleu Citron.

Fabian Ordoñez, who had always loved music, left his native Argentina at the age of 19. With his guitar under his arm, he set off from the small village of Realicó with a suitcase full of dreams. In the 70s, he travelled from Vienna to Budapest, from Düsseldorf to Paris. After touring Europe, he decided to settle in Toulouse, France, to devote himself to singing. He sang and played everywhere: on the banks of the Garonne, at the Borriquito Loco and in many of Toulouse's top night spots... In 1993 he created the Barrio Latino, which became a cult venue for salsa in Toulouse. He went on to form his own band, Fabian y su salsa, with whom he released the album Sin Fronteras, featuring original compositions and standards, and with whom they toured France and Europe until 2017.

That was the year his two sons, Bigflo&Oli, who had become hip-hop stars, gave him the best birthday present a musician's father could hope for: the recording of the song Papa, with which they toured for 2 years. In 2019, Fabian Ordoñez signed with the Polydor label and released the album El Padre. It includes some magnificent covers of Nougaro and Gainsbourg, as well as original compositions and Latin classics. Time has passed, but his voice, talent and passion remain intact. Today, Fabian moves us as much as he makes us laugh with his story.
